KBR NETWORKS WITH NEXUS
KBR is leading the way in network and cabling design in the North
East
with a £100k contract completed for Nexus, the Tyne and Wear
Passenger Transport Authority.
Nexus chose KBR from six possible suppliers to provide them with a
structured cabling system for their newly built offices in the heart of
Newcastle upon Tyne.
As a Cisco Premier Certified Partner and Krone PremisNet Associate Installer,
Nexus were confident in KBR's skills and experience.
The Krone and Cisco system recommended by KBR offered Nexus a
'best of breed' solution at a highly competitive price. It was reliable,
scaleable
and flexible for our future needs and came with a 20 year
guarantee said Peter Galleymore, IT Manager of Nexus.
Timescales were very tight and there was no time to spare in between the move
to the new purpose built premises. Thanks to KBR's expert team
Nexus
employees finished work on the Friday evening ready to start
again on the
Monday morning in the new building. At the end of the project
KBR continued
to provide just the right level of support that Nexus needed whilst they settled
into their new building. Nexus have noticed a
substantial increase in network performance.
The new more versatile solution has given them greater flexibility which has made adding and changing much easier to do.
