New Business Development Manager

Responsibilities to Customers

The 3 main goals for new business development: –

1. Identifying new sales leads
2. Pitching products and/or services
3. Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing customers

 

Day-to-day duties will typically include:

  • Researching organisations and individuals to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Researching organisations and learning who makes decisions about technical requirements and purchasing
  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport
  • Generating sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
  • Operating as the point of contact for assigned client accounts and contacts
  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with client accounts and contacts
  • Ensuring clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion and are kept updated on progress

Responsibilities to the Company

  • Keeping records of client transactions on our customer relationship management (CRM) platform
  • Collaborating with the sales team and other commercial representatives to reach prospective clients
  • Coordinating with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service
  • Communicating client needs and demands to other staff members as required
  • Servicing multiple clients concurrently and meeting required deadlines
  • Managing projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
  • Identifying opportunities to grow business with existing client accounts
  • Networking with business partners and/or distributors to enhance company relationships
